Ancient Aliens is a show offering alternative theories on history, primarily claiming that things like the pyramids and Stonehenge and the Nazca lines were constructed by or with the help of aliens. To paraphrase the great Tim Minchon: alternative history that’s been evidenced to be accurate is not called “alternative history,” it’s called “history.”
As far as the pyramids go, I’m not a scholar on the subject but as I understand it we don’t really know why they built them that way. I also seem to recall that a lot of records from that period of time were lost, so we might never know why they did what they did the way they did it. Who knows!
