partitionpostulate asked: I recently came across a man named David Icke, who believes that the moon can't be a natural body because scientists don't actually know how it came to be. They have theories, but I suppose none of them meet David's standards. I think it's ridiculous, but I was wondering if you've heard any such similar nonsense and what your take on it is.
Oooh, I actually read a decent book once (kind of long) that had some great theories, it’s called The Bible. Have you ever heard of Bill O’Reilly? That guy is really challenging the scientific establishment w/ his ideas. He doesn’t believe scientists when they say that the moon is the result of a collision between Earth and a Mars-sized body that shared its orbit in the early solar system because 1) lol that’s not even possible and 2) the Earth wouldn’t have had time to reassemble in time, it’s only been around 6,000 years and the laws of thermodynamics clearly state that something can’t cool that quickly. I mean come on, we’re not children! You can’t explain how the moon got there, we don’t know and we can’t prove it. They say the moon makes the tides go in and out, but then how did the tides go in and out in the beginning of time if there was no moon until later? It just doesn’t make sense. You can’t explain that any other way than The LORD.
