Take a look at this MASSIVE GIANT STAR HURTLING THROUGH SPACE!!! It’s theorised that at some time in its past, Zeta Ophiuchi was shot from a stable position by a nearby supernova, perhaps a binary partner. While all stars move, both with respect to one another and with respect to the galaxy, ZO is moving at some 24 km per second (that’s 54,000 mph!). (via NASA)
